Duke of Edinburgh award – enterprise project launch

Tonight the group of cadets signed up for Duke of Edinburgh award, started working on an enterprise project.

They will be running the NAAFI (canteen) for the next few months. We discussed the elements of running a small business including stock management and profit, and in small groups they researched the stock they want to sell and pricing, and they designed a product inventory and sales record spreadsheet.

The cadets worked really well together and had some great ideas that we will be working on over the next few months.

Any profit the cadets make from the NAAFI will be reinvested into the squadron to subsidise trips and activities.

We also now have a squadron card machine and can take payments over £1 via card/apple/google pay.
